PinkDylan are pleased to sponsor the 2025 Great Road Trip in aid of the UK Kennedy’s Disease Association.
The trip is being organised by our client, The 2cv shop, who will be using their Electric 2cv to take on a series of European mountain passes in 2025 and hopefully an epic 2026 road trip in the USA starting in Las Vegas and ending at the All Electric show in Vancouver.
This follows a successful trans USA and European trip in 2020 in a standard petrol engine 2cv.
Kennedy’s Disease, or X-linked motor neuron disease, is an inherited neuromuscular disorder It is an adult onset, progressive disorder, characterised by the degeneration of lower motor neurons within the spinal cord and brainstem. This causes progressive weakening and wasting of the muscles particularly in the arms and legs.
Females are the carriers, if they have the defected gene, and each son of a carrier mother has a 50 per cent chance of inheriting the gene and developing the disease.
It is estimated that 1 in 7000 people have this genetic defect and because it is relatively unknown, Kennedy’s Disease is often initially misdiagnosed or goes undiagnosed for years. There is no cure for Kennedy’s disease and no current treatment available.. so help us find a cure for Kennedy’s disease.
