Terms and Privacy

All business undertaken by pinkdylan is subjected to our general terms and conditions and registration/holding of domain names is additionally subject to our separate domain name terms and conditions.

Please note that ALL domain names registered or renewed by us on your behalf are subject to our standard terms and conditions (see below) which include limitations of liability, AND are also subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing Naming Authority. In the case of ALL .uk names (including .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, and .me.uk), the Naming Authority is Nominet, and their domain name registration Terms and Conditions are available Here. We are members of Nominet.


We will always register names with you (the client) as the Registrant ('owner') (or transfer the ownership to you free of charge on request if otherwise registered by us) UNLESS the name is provided by us as part of a rental package (in which case we register in our name) and this is clearly indicated within our quotation (in which case our quote will also include an optional figure for you to take 'ownership').


Current charges as at 1st January 2021 for new domain names and renewals are £35+vat for .uk names and £65+vat for .com names. These prices are for 2 years (other periods available on request). Prices include management and DNS (if required and specifically requested) but no hosting or email provision. Prices are liable to change without notice to reflect changes in supplier pricing and / or currency fluctuations (and retain our percentage margins in such cases).


We will automatically invoice you for renewals of your domain name at least 75 days prior to renewal. Invoices MUST be paid at least 45 days prior to renewal. If you do NOT wish to renew your name you MUST notify us to domains@pinkdylan.co.uk at LEAST 45 days prior to renewal (we have some names set to auto-renew 30 days or more before expiry). If you have not paid before renewal we will attempt to contact you at last known email address and by phone. We reserve the right not to renew a domain that has not been paid for, although in most cases we will allow the name to renew automatically and in the absence of a request from you not to renew (as detailed above) you will be liable to pay for the renewal.


Should you choose not to renew a domain name either explicitly or through non payment you grant permission for pinkdylan to optionally take ownership of that domain name rather than allow it to expire and become available to a third party.


If you require changes or support with regard to your domain names please email support@pinkdylan.co.uk  (or call 01905 700 007, 01905 371041 or 077725 44706). We will usually reply to your contact within a matter of hours, but in any case within 2 business days (Monday to Friday, Holidays excluded) and carry out any necessary action within a further 2 business days (usually quicker). If you wish to transfer a .uk (.co.uk etc) name to another Registrar we reserve the right to request a written instruction on a signed letterhead before releasing the name.

We are delighted to say that we have an excellent relationship with our clients, some of whom we have been dealing with since we first started in the mid 1990's.


However, needless to say, it is necessary for us to publish a set of terms and conditions. All work we undertake is subject to these terms unless we specifically state otherwise in writing. Any contradicting terms in any purchase order you place do NOT amount to a variation in our terms which shall be the ONLY terms applicable to any contract we enter into.


Due to the variety of work we undertake, and the number of different products and services we offer, these are necessarily longer than we would like - but there are no tricks in there!


It is important that you do read our terms before commissioning us to undertake any work for you. If there is anything that you do not understand, or that concerns you,  then please do talk to us, and we will be more than happy to clarify things with you.

  1. If you have a complaint about our services, or you or any services we provide you with have suffered any form of abuse: Please report any problems initially to support@pinkdylan.co.uk (or call 01905 700 007 or 01905 371041).

    Should you not receive prompt and satisfactory resolution to your concerns, please contact either Lynn Cullimore or Graham Cullimore (our Partners) by asking for them by name on 01905 700007 or 01905 371041 or Graham on mobile 077725 44706. Graham and Lynn will do their best to resolve any issues you may have to your satisfaction.

  2. If we have any complaints or issues with the way in which you are using our services (including hosting and Email facilities):
    We will contact you to discuss at the earliest opportunity, and are confident that you will work with us to reach a mutually satisfactory conclusion.

    If your account on our server is causing any issues which are affecting the overall performance, security or potential reputation of our servers or our name, we reserve the right to suspend services immediately and without notice or compensation in order to protect our own interests and those of our clients as a whole. We will contact you at the earliest opportunity to discuss the issue and reach a mutually satisfactory conclusion.

  3. Passwords and Third Party Applications:
    Where you install third party software and/or set your own passwords on our server (for example for email accounts in cPanel), and either are compromised due to security flaws or weakness, our support in rectifying any such issues shall be chargeable at £125.00+vat per hour (business hours) and £250.00+vat per hour (outside business hours). Passwords MUST be at least 12 characters long, contain both letters (both upper and lower case) and numbers, no whole words, names or memorable dates and no sequences of more than 2 consecutive or identical numbers or letters. Each password must be UNIQUE, not used elsewhere at all.
